The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) supports Amendment 3, to give voters control of gambling in Florida.
HCCMO is one of the largest business-related organizations representing the Hispanic community in Central Florida and has been the voice of the Hispanic business community of Central Florida for over 25 years. Its mission is to provide leadership and support the economic development of the Hispanic business community of Metro Orlando.
As an advocate of growth and prosperity of the small business community, HCCMO supports Amendment 3, giving Florida voters, particularly small business owners the right to decide whether to authorize casino gambling by requiring that in order for casino gambling to be authorized under Florida law, it must be approved by Florida voters pursuant to Article XI, Section 3 of the Florida Constitution.
Voters should have the right to decide if gambling in Florida should be allowed or not. They also have the right to be informed about the impact gambling has had in the small business community in other areas and states where it has been allowed.
