ORLANDO, Fla. (June 25, 2018) - The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) and Prospera presented a workshop in Puerto Rico for business owners who wish to expand their businesses to Florida. The workshop is a result of collaborative efforts with the Puerto Rico Trade and Export Company, led by Ricardo Llerandi.
More than 300 people attended the workshop “Expande tu Negocio a la Florida” (Expand Your Business to Florida), the workshop provided essential information about different Central Florida resources and opportunities available for Puerto Ricans to expand their businesses or export their services and products to the Sunshine State. Among the topics presented were financial assessment, business plans, legal structure, business regulations, market demographics, effective sales planning, and access to capital for Puerto Rican companies to consider when expanding to Florida, as well as a panel on Central Florida economic development and business opportunities comprised of representatives from the City of Orlando, City of St. Cloud and Orange County.
Expande tu Negocio a la Florida was held at the Puerto Rico Convention Center. It was presented in part by the following local agencies: The Puerto Rico Trade and Export Company, Centro Unido de Detallistas de Puerto Rico, and the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce.
