ORLANDO, FL.—August 30, 2017— The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) presented its seventh annual Hispanic Business Conference (HBC), August 24 and 25,  at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld.  With Orlando Health and Walt Disney World Resort as the title sponsors, the HBC brought forth a packed program focused on its threefold theme: lead through change - ignite, innovate, and grow.  The speaker lineup encompassed a plethora of dynamic speakers, including the current Treasurer of the United States and the Chairman of NBCUniversal International Group and Telemundo Enterprises.

The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld served as a new intimate venue for the two-day conference that included B2B exhibitions, over 30 speakers, nine workshops, and three interactive panels. Hundreds of community leaders, chamber members, and corporate executives participated in the diverse programming that took place. The two day conference was filled with high-caliber speakers that spoke about market changes and economic impact.

During the kickoff breakfast, the Chairman of NBCUniversal and Telemundo Enterprises, Mr. Cesar Conde, spoke about the Hispanic market and its impact in the media world.  What followed was a C-Suite Plenary Session moderated by Orlando Business Journal’s publisher, Robert Bobroff, with corporate executives that made emphasis on capitalizing on economic opportunities in Central Florida. The panel included Michael Brown, President & CEO for Wyndham Vacation Ownership; Yolanda Londoño, VP of Global Social Responsibility for Tupperware Brands; and Andy Gardiner, Senior VP of External Affairs and Community Relations for Orlando Health.

Guests were also able to meet and hear from the Treasurer of the United States, Ms. Jovita Carranza, who served as a luncheon keynote speaker. In her speech, she shared her plan to increase access to capital and provide better tax reforms of benefit to small businesses. Other interactive sessions at the Conference included a panel about education and entrepreneurship with representatives from top educational institutions in Central Florida and a women’s panel with Latina entrepreneurs and influencers.

For the first time in the history of the conference the HCCMO recognized a list of 10 Fast Latino Growing Companies.
