ORLANDO, FL. – Oct. 10, 2016 – The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) receives Chamber of the Year Award by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC). The award was received by Chairwoman of the HCCMO Board of Directors, Lourdes Mola, at the USHCC’s National Convention in Miami.
More than 200 USHCC members were eligible to submit nominations for the chamber of the year awards. To be considered for this award, Chambers throughout the U.S. had to submit an extensive application covering the following criteria: Major accomplishments achieved in the areas of business, economic development, procurement and/or access to capital; Leadership, partnerships and service to the Hispanic community and business community; Measurable results and outcomes within the Hispanic business community.
"We are grateful for this recognition by the USHCC, which is reflective of our unyielding focus to provide leadership and economic development for our community. This award would not be possible without our great chamber team, board of directors, ambassadors, members and sponsors. Without them we would not be able to do the work we love,” declared Lourdes Mola, President of Lourdes Mola Solutions and Chairwoman of the HCCMO Board.
Throughout more than 20 years of trajectory, the HCCMO has received several recognitions by the USHCC for its service and dedication to Central Florida’s Hispanic business community. Earlier this month the HCCMO was also recognized as Chamber of the Year by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals.
“We work diligently to be an agent for economic growth. We have developed programming aimed to help our businesses thrive and we strive to continue serving our business community with excellence,” said Diana Bolivar, President of the HCCMO.
