Are traditional scholarship programs helping low-income students complete their college educations?  Explore this topic and learn of innovative scholarship models designed to improve student success as well as collaborative community efforts to best leverage local scholarship dollars.

Beyond Financial Aid: Non-academic Supports for 21st Century Students

Barriers that keep college students from completing a degree or credential go beyond academics and can include food and housing insecurity, transportation issues, and competing school, work and family commitments.  In this session you will learn about a new toolkit by Lumina Foundation that helps campuses and communities assess students’ needs and develop strategies to address them.  You will also learn about a project of the Central Florida College Access Network designed to help students at Seminole State College access community social services for the supports they need.
