ORLANDO, Fl. – (February 19, 2015) – The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) hosted their 23rd Annual Installation Luncheon in a special event, celebrated at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. Hundreds of businesses, community leaders, and elected officials witnessed the swearing of a new Chair of the Board, José Nido, Vice President of Global Supplier Diversity, Wyndham Worldwide Corporation and the new Board of Directors, who will be leading the organization in 2015.

After her welcoming remarks, Diana Bolívar,  HCCMO’s President,  recognized the event sponsors, namely  Rosen Hotels & Resort, Rosen Shingle Creek, CenturyLink, Orlando Health, Orlando Magic, Walt Disney World Resort, Wyndham Worldwide, OUC-The reliable One, PSAV, Resource Management, Inc., Royal Press and Vitas Healthcare.

The outgoing Chair of the Board, Dr. Giorgina Pinedo-Rolón of Gio Communications, took us on a year-end review journey for 2014.  She recognized the outgoing Board, which worked with her during the past year. “I’m honored and at the very same humbled to have served as chair for such an organization like HCCMO. I’m proud to have worked alongside the chamber staff as we took HCCMO to the next level,” stated Dr. Pinedo-Rolón, as she proudly discussed the Chamber's many accomplishments during the past year.

Subsequent to a great lunch, the HCCMO recognized its Trustees whose contributions are an integral part of the chamber’s success.  Honorable Judge Wilfredo Martinez from the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida conducted the initiation of the 2015/16 Officers and Board of Directors,

After the swearing-in ceremony, the new Chair of the Board, Mr. José Nido, took to the podium and shared with the attendees his vision for the Chamber concluding with a motivating speech, “It is truly a privilege to lead such a successful and prominent organization.  I started supporting and working with the Chamber in 1996 when there was one employee, a few hundred members, and no Trustees. While there has been much success and accomplishments since those first days, we must not get complacent," stated Nido.  He also shared plans and expectations for this year, "My vision for the next year includes increased access to corporations, ensuring that our members clearly see a return on their investment, enhancing relationships with other diverse business organizations, and further developing the Young Professionals initiative.”
