1. The Orlando Magic will play four more preseason games this week. The team opens the week tonight in Charlotte at 7 p.m. before playing host to Flamengo (Brazil) on Wednesday, October 15 at 7 p.m. and the Detroit Pistons on Friday, October 17 at 7 p.m. The Magic will conclude the week when they travel to Allentown, Pa. on Saturday, October 18 for a preseason matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 p.m. FOX Sports Florida, the regional television home of the Orlando Magic, will televise the preseason home opener this Wednesday vs. Flamengo.
  2. Single-game tickets now on sale

    Single-game tickets for games through January 3, 2015 of the 2014-15 Orlando Magic season went on sale to the general public on October 10. The Magic’s home opener will take place on Thursday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Washington Wizards at the Amway Center. Tickets can be purchased online at www.orlandomagic.com, at the Amway Center box office (located on Church St.), at all TicketMaster outlets, or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX. MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover accepted at all purchase points.

  3. “Pure Magic” Delivered to Front Door of 20,000 Central Florida Residents

    Twenty-thousand Central Florida residents received a surprise on Friday morning as the Magic and Chase teamed up to deliver T-shirts to their door steps as part of the team’s Pure Magic campaign. Fans are encouraged to continue uploading their photos through the Magic’s social media platforms to participate in the season-long “How are you Pure Magic?” social media sweepstakes using the hashtag #PureMagicSweeps for a chance to win tickets to home opening night, luxury suite night and other prizes throughout the season. Magic fans who post photos also have a chance to be featured on the team’s website, orlandomagic.com, FOX Sports Florida TV broadcasts or on the big screen at Amway Center.

  1. Orlando Magic Players and Coaches Sign for the Central Florida Community

    Orlando Magic players and coaches signed items during the team’s internal autograph session on Monday, October 6.  Each season, the entire Magic team autographs nearly 1,000 items for schools, nonprofit organizations and other charitable events. The items signed included photos, basketballs, jerseys, shoes and a variety of Magic paraphernalia all autographed using the official autograph marker of the Orlando Magic, Dixon Ticonderoga Redisharp Permanent Marker. The value of the exclusive autographed items is approximately $140,000. The items are distributed into the community during the season to assist charitable endeavors.

  2. Ridnour Brings Veteran Presence

    The Orlando Magic signed veteran point guard Luke Ridnour as a free agent on July 26, 2014. He has played 783 games (22 playoff games) during his time in the NBA and holds career averages of 9.6 points and 4.6 assists per game. Among active players that have played at least 500 games since the 2003-04 season, Ridnour ranks 11th in free throw percentage (.862) and 16th in assists (3617).

  3. Magic Rewind No. 1

    Devyn Marble scored eight of his 13 points in overtime, as Orlando defeated Miami, 108-101 in overtime in its preseason opener at AmericanAirlines Arena. Six Magic players scored in double figures, led by Nikola Vučević with 16 points. Luol Deng and Chris Bosh each scored a game-high-tying 18 points for the Heat. Orlando held Miami to just 39.4 percent shooting from the floor, including 5-of-32 from 3-point range. Trailing 95-93, Andrew Nicholson connected on a baseline jumper with 0.2 seconds left to force overtime. In the extra session, Marble connected on a pair of 3-pointers to help seal the victory for Orlando.

    The Magic will host a free public open practice on October 20 at Amway Center (doors open at 5:30 p.m., practice starts at 6:30 p.m.). Tickets are required for the event, but can be downloaded for FREE by going to www.orlandomagic.com/openpractice.

  4. Magic Rewind No. 2

    Tobias Harris scored a team-high 16 points, as Orlando defeated Indiana, 96-93, in a preseason game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Kyle O’Quinn recorded 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds for the Magic, while Nikola Vučević netted 12 points. Donald Sloan led six Pacers in double figures with 16 points. Orlando outrebounded Indiana, 46-38, and held the Pacers to 38.3 percent shooting from the floor. Indiana jumped out to a 27-13 lead, but the Magic responded with a 22-5 run, then led 47-46 at halftime. Orlando then opened the second half with a 12-2 spurt and never trailed during the second half.
