How confidence is linked to Entrepreneurship? Confidence is often associated with feelings of inner strength and self-regard. It is respecting oneself while understanding and accepting one’s strengths and weaknesses. As a person, it is important to have a high level of it, but also it’s important to don’t lose touch with realistic appraisal of you capabilities.

Strategies for building a healthy self-confidence:

Be mindful of your weaknesses

  • No body’s is perfect; our flaws make us human.
  • Develop strategies to improve your limitations.
  • You are only limited by the power of your imagination.

Modesty of your strengths

  • Demonstrate humility and be humble.
  • Be approachable, and genuine.

Let’s use Emotional Intelligence to evaluate your confidence in your business. Emotional Intelligence is a the set of skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop and maintain social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way. Emotions are valuable information that should be processed, analyzed and communicated. We believe that blocked emotions are associated to psychosomatic conditions, violation of human right and unhealthy interpersonal relations.

How do you feel in regards to the services and products that you represent? Do you really believe in what are you doing? Are you belief system and life purpose aligned to the services and products that you offer?

Be honest with yourself, and based on your response, what are you willing to do? Remember we can do a lot, but honestly we are willing to do a few. What are you really willing to do to build confidence in your business?

What do you believe are your strengths?

Which of your abilities require development? Which tools and resources do you need?

After listen to the emotions associated to your services and products, it is recommended to take action:

  • Educate yourself

o   Explore options and opportunities to refine your services and products

o   Objectively evaluate the options and opportunities

o   Define an action plan

o   Act and monitor your performance

Emotions are a great tool to monitor your performance as entrepreneurs. The roller coaster of emotions that we experience could be intense and diverse. Manage all the duties and responsibilities of an entrepreneur is challenging, but if we have confidence in our role we could easier the journey. Remember Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle. And to enjoy it – we have to develop strategies to build on our confidence.
